The Public Employee Retirement Administration Commission (PERAC) has completed their audit of the Weymouth Retirement System for the time period January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2005, and has determined that all functions are being performed, and all financial records are being maintained in conformity with PERAC’s standards. Additionally, the Board and the staff have been commended for “exemplary operation of the system”.

Everyone will receive a letter from the Board informing of three separate measures being reviewed at the State House for potential legislative action. Your Retirement Board is firmly opposed to the provisions of Section 5 and Section 35 of House Bill 3749, and also to House Bill 2762. If you also oppose a State seizure of the Board’s assets – which include your hard earned contributions and tax dollars, then please contact your legislators. In Weymouth they are:
